Lakeside
For this track, I was inspired by the idea of sitting around a campfire by a lake in winter. It has a calm and warm overall atmosphere, which is supported by the acoustic and organic electronic elements as well as the vocal samples.

Liner Notes to Lakeside
By the river
This track started with a ukulele sample and quickly evolved into a composition that I thought would go well with a wintery scenery. At the time, I was also filming this river near my parents' house with my drone. I expanded on this water-related concept and chose Lakeside as the track's title.
Blue sunrise
The color palette I tended to use at the time was characterized by the contrast between cold blues and warmer orange or red colors. The image above summarizes this concept in an abstract way.
Frosty morning

This photo was taken during sunrise on a very cold winter day in early 2023. It was so cold that I couldn't even hold my camera still, but I liked the special color of the sunrise light in the wintry atmosphere.
At the lakeside

Based on the conceptual ideas and the track's title, my wife went ahead and created this amazing cover art which I immediately knew would fit the track well. I later animated the scene for release. The goal was to show how the scenery unfolds layer by layer.

This photo was taken already over a year before I even started working on Lakeside, but it went well with the track's concept. It also highlights the tonal contrast between warmer and cooler colors.
Winter surprise

I captured this scene while I was taking a trip to a nearby forest. I was surprised to see that the trees had been covered by snow over night and I immediately knew that I had to capture this amazing scenery using my drone. While working on my track Lakeside later on, I was very inspired by this winter scene.
Early blossoms
With Lakeside, my creative goal was to combine a visual concept and scenery with the tonal textures of the music. While I worked on the track during winter, I released it track in April 2023 and therefore also incorporated elements of early spring in the visuals. Exploring the seasons and changing landscapes is a great source of inspiration for both my music and photography.
