Kolibri
This tune aims for an uplifting organic electronic vibe. The creation and name of the track was inspired by the fluttering synth parts in the background, reminiscent of birds in flight.

Liner Notes to Kolibri
A new look

After releasing two EPs in late 2020 and early 2022, I took a few months off from releasing new tunes. Still, I was working on new music at the time, but it took until late 2022 to get a new release ready. In time with the release, I felt like I wanted update the visuals as well. My wife had the idea for this new logo, which I liked a lot. It also fit the color scheme for my new track Kolibri.
Yellow and green
The color scheme for the release was inspired by nature and mostly based around the colors yellow and green. I also had some photos ready fitting this scheme so I decided to share more of them during release time of the track.
Experimenting with focus
Besides colors, I was experimenting with camera focus. I discovered abstract photography as it is also based in trying out new techniques and unusual camera settings, similar to creating new tunes. In my music, I always try to experiment with new sounds, and abstract photography in the field is a great source of inspiration in this regard.
Uplifting synths
The track as a whole has an uplifting mood to it. Its name was inspired by the synth parts which sound kind of fluttery and vibrant to me. As it was the first release in a while, it felt great to release a track with a positive vibe to get in the habit of creating new tracks again!
Taking flight
While I was not releasing new tunes for a while, I got into drone videography. So I thought it would be interesting to also try new perspectives for the visuals for Kolibri. During spring, I captured the video below which fit the yellow and green colors well. Taking flight with a drone really changes perspective for places which I visit regularly, like this nearby forest.
More to come
This track was the first one I ever released as a single. It also marks the first of a series of new tracks that I wanted to encapsulate in a visual story and scenery. I feel like both the music and the visuals are inspiring each other, and I am looking forward to pursue this concept further over time!
